I grew up outside Washington DC and moved to New York to go to college. I graduated from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY with a BFA in Photography and in 1993 an MFA in Photography from the Yale School of Art in New Haven, CT. I've studied fine art photography, history and practice with some of the greatest artists and professors. When I graduated from Yale and my student loans came due, I had to get serious. Karen Hill Photography focuses primarily on wedding photography. When I started, I was one of only a few photographers shooting weddings as an art form. For the past twenty years, I've developed and honed my skills in photography, it has been the greatest, most rewarding challenge.I've had the great privilege of covering weddings and events all over the world. I hope to work with you to photograph your wedding or event and to encapsulate it for you in timeless, cherished photographs.
